About Me

In my teens, I started making fascinators as a hobby. The reason being that my mother always attended the annual horseracing season events every year. Naturally, each outfit had to be a little different. My mum would want me to revamp an old fascinator or create a new one to match her outfits for the Darwin Spring Cup Carnival. So that’s what I did and I enjoyed every second!

That was the start of my designing career in creating beautiful and unique fascinators.

In 2010, while I was travelling overseas, I found several millinery suppliers who had everything I could possibly need to create stunning fascinators. That’s all I needed to get started again.

My imagination ran wild with all the amazing variations and possibilities in creating a wide range of these fabulous fascinators. After creating my first batch, I began selling my fascinators and hair clips at local markets and craft shows in Ontario, Canada.

When I returned home to Darwin, I carried on with creating and selling fascinators at the Palmerston markets in 2011. I’m now looking forward to my fifth year there. Along the way, I’ve attended several millinery workshops in Melbourne each year to learn new techniques and skills. After these workshops, my creative thoughts can’t keep up with my hands! I continue to attend courses to hone my natural skills to take my designs to the next level.
